1985.07-1987.09 An assistant researcher in TCM center lab in Nanjing University of TCM, focus on virology and immunology study. I had participated several projects of TCM research, such as Treatment of Epidemic Hemorrhage Fever with TCM; Treatment of  Dysentery By Zhi li ling(a kind of herbal medicine); The experiment study on Qi and Ying syndrome in Febrile Diseases; Treatment of Cerebrovascular Accidental Sequela(wind stroke) with Acupuncture. Performed all kinds of laboratory techniques for rat, mouse and rabbit, such as handling and restraint techniques, stomach tubing (gavage), injection techniques, blood collection techniques, route sterile technique, etc.

1990.08-1997.09 Faculty in Nanjing university of TCM. Having lectured Introduction to TCM, Basic Theory of TCM, Diagnosis of TCM, Etiology and Pathology, Chinese Materia Medica, Prescriptions of TCM, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Canon of Medicine, Medical English and lots of seminars both for Chinese and foreign students. I had taken charge of three TCM research projects and participated in some other projects. Because of my excellent work, I was honored with lots of titles (see blow) and selected to send to U.S.A by the government after passing through the English Test.
1992.09-1997.09 Having lectured Acupuncture and Moxibustion (in English), Chinese Massage (in English) for foreign students in Nanjing Normal University.
1995.03-1995.12 Treating patients in the workers’ hospital of Nanjing steel factory as an expert doctor.
1996.03-1996.10 Treating patients in Nanjing Brain Hospital as a visiting doctor, focus on neurological diseases (MS, Stroke, MD etc.) and Alzheimer's disease.
1997.09-1998.11 Research assistant/Postdoctoral fellow at Neuroscience department in Pennington Biomedical Research Center, USA. Study on the relationship between brain and gut in the regulation of body weight (energy balance).
1998.12—2000.08 Faculty in Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), USA.  I taught  TCM Theory, TCM Diagnosis, Diagnostic Lab, TCM Pathology and Therapeutics (all in English), developing TCM doctoral program in the College. In addition, I was also working at Dr. David Grandy lab in Physiology and Pharmacology Department, Oregon Health Science University (OHSU) as a visiting scholar, carrying out laboratory research investigating physiological mechanisms of acupuncture analgesia and weight control.
2000.8—2001.02 Postdoctoral fellow in physiology and pharmacology department, Oregon Health Science University (OHSU). Focus on the dopaminergic role in feeding behavior, using behavior neuroscience methods (two bottle choice, locomotor activity, indirect calorimetry, food/water intake and body weight etc.), RIA, in situ hybridization, intracerebravascular injection. We first demonstrated the relationship between dopamine D2 receptor and melanocortin system in feeding behavior.
2001.03-2001.06 Instructor and Clinical supervisor in International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver.
2001.06-Now Instructor and Clinical Supervisor in Acupuncture Program, Grant MacEwan University; Coordinator for Chinese Herbology, Grant MacEwan University.
